PyCon APAC 2022 CfP is Open!

The CfP for PyCon APAC 2022 is OPEN now!

PyCon APAC 2022 will be held in Gather Town and on Youtube fully remote on Sep. 3-4. 

There will be a different conference style this year, so look out for future updates on what to expect!

We accept a broad range of Python-related proposals ranging from academic research to commercial projects, case studies, running a community, communication strategies, mental health, failed experiences etc.

Important Points:

1. Due to the ongoing global pandemic, all online talks will be pre-recorded, optional with live Q&A sessions on conference day.

2. Duration of each session types:

1. Talk : 15 / 30 / 45 min 

2. Tutorial : 90 min

3. You may present in any language you are comfortable with, but the proposals for talks made through our CFP system must be in English or Mandarin Chinese only so that our reviewers can understand them.

4. We will refer or forward some of the rejected proposals to local Python communities in APAC for their consideration in their own events.

Important Dates : 

• Talks & Tutorial CfP starts: Mar. 1

• Talks & Tutorial CfP ends: Apr. 15  (23:59:59 AoE)

• Dates of the Conference: Sep. 3 - Sep. 4

2. 演講時間長度

1. 演講 (Talk) : 15 分鐘、 30 分鐘、45 分鐘，您可以自由選擇合適的演講長度。

PyCon Taiwan 2020 CfP 3/1 正式徵稿！

稿件分為演講 (Talk) 及專業課程 (Tutorial) ，可使用語言為：中文、英文、台語

我們接受泛 Python 相關的各類投稿，包括學術報告、商用專案或者案例研究等，或是社群
經營、溝通、心理健康、失敗經驗等軟議題。

而今年徵稿與去年有幾個不同之處：

1. 演講(Talk) 的時間分為15分鐘 / 30分鐘 (去年：30分鐘 / 40分鐘)
2. 專業課程(Tutorial) 地點於會場外並與會議同時進行，時間變更為1.5小時
3. 即使稿件最後未錄取，今年 PyCon TW 會將部分未錄取稿件 forward 至各社群，並提供部分交通補助

重要時程：

• 議程、課程 投稿截止： 4 月 26 日（23:59:59 AoE）
• 公告完整議程： 6 月 中旬（暫定）
• 研討會日： 9 月 5 日, 9 月 6日

The CfP for PyConTW 2020 is open!

There are two types of proposals you can submit: Talk and Tutorial.

Both can be given in either English, Mandarin or Taiwanese Hokkien.

We accept a broad range of Python-related proposals from academic research to
commercial projects, case studies, or soft topics such as running a community, making
good communication, mental health, etc.

Something different from PyConTW 2019 :

1. Talks will be lasting either 15 minutes or 30 minutes.( 2019: 30min / 40min)
2. Tutorials are at a separate venue, they are 1.5 hours sessions
3. We will make some of the rejected proposals happen in local communities in Taiwan. PyCon TW will partially provide financial aid for transportation.

Important Dates :

• Talks & Tutorial CfP ends: 26 Apr (23:59:59 AoE)
• Announcement of acceptance: In the middle of June (tentative)
• Dates of the Conference: 5 Sep - 6 Sep

Due to the increasement in the number of proposals and the data corruption, there was a delay in the operation.
由於今年投稿量比往年增加，且系統資料集不幸地發生一些問題，導致作業上有所延遲。

PyCon Asia-Pacific 2015 in Taiwan - Save the Date

PyCon Asia-Pacific 2015 will be held on June 5-7 (Friday to Sunday) at Academia Sinica in Taipei, Taiwan. A one-day Sprint event will take place following the conference on June 8th. The date and time of tutorials will be announced soon.
