Let’s Eat with PyCon TW

The upcoming PyCon TW is on October 2nd and 3rd! 🤩

It was exciting to chat with new friends at lunch time.

Due to COVID-19, PyCon TW 2021 will be held online. Instead of chatting face to face, the participants can interact with others at the Soothing Forest on Gather.Town. We can also share our lunch photos on Discord! 🍱

For many, deciding on what to eat is proabbly one of the most difficult decisions to make, but don’t sweat it—PyCon TW has decided the contents of the meals.

Just enjoy the meals and share your recipe with friends on Gather.Town! 😋 You can also upload the food photos and show your cooking on Discord. The food photos will be exhibited in the picnic basket at the Soothing Forest on Gather.Town.

In addition, we’re looking forward to sharing fun photos of Python logo composed of materials or tableware on Discord.

Follow the steps below to make the meals. 👨‍🍳

Curry Rice 🍛

1. Chop the beef and put it with salt and pepper for 10 minutes
2. Chop the onion, the carrot and the potato
3. Saute the onion
4. Add the beef and the carrot, and saute them to medium
5. Add the potato and water, and boil them 10 minutes
6. Add the curry cube, and stir them

Fried Instant Noodles 🍝

1. Boil water
2. Cut the cucumber, the onion, the garlic, the mushroom and the bacon
3. Add the seasoning of the instant noodles into the boiled water
4. Saute the materials in step 2. with the old of the instant noodles, and add a spoon of soup in step 3.
5. Add the instant noodles into the soup in step 3., and cook it to medium-well
6. Saute the noodles with the materials in step 4.

 10 月 2、3 日就是眾所期待的 PyCon TW 會期了！🤩

往年大家在會期的午餐期間，都可以拿著美味餐盒和身邊的會眾們聊天、認識新朋友。

今年大會因疫情改為線上，雖然沒辦法和新朋友們實體面對面交流，但 PyCon TW 的 Gather.Town 會場建蓋了一座休憩森林，讓大家可以在上面閒聊，另外也可以在 Discord 頻道上和大家分享自己的午餐🍱。

歡迎大家自己煮大會指定餐點或是點外送，會期當天就可以在 Gather.Town 上和大家交流廚藝或愛店啦😋

當然也可以在 Discord 上分（炫）享（耀）美食照，Gather.Town 休憩森林也安排了野餐籃，志工們會將大家發在 Discord 上的美食照放到野餐籃上，讓會眾也可以在 Gather.Town 上瀏覽！

除了美食照以外，也歡迎會眾們拿手邊的食材或是餐具排成 Python logo，在 Discord 上分享創意圖片。

台灣 Python 年會迎接第十年 首次線上形式舉辦 精彩議程搶先看

台灣 Python 社群一年一度的盛會— Python 年會（ PyCon TW ）將於 10 月 2、3 日舉行。今年正好迎向第十年，不但有從史上最多（近百篇）的投稿中篩選出 37 場精彩議程，同時也是因應疫情、首次採取線上形式舉辦，讓會眾在家也能盡情參與。

自 2012 年起正式成立 PyCon Taiwan，許多全臺各地自願付出的志工們為了推動各項Python程式專案交流持續努力，九年間累積與會數千人次，成為臺灣數一數二規模的技術研討會。去年更在贊助商和會眾的支持之下，完成了首次移師南台灣，讓各地 Python 社群成長與彼此交流，創下出席 675 人次的成就。2021 PyConTW 為第十屆大會，線上參與人數可望再次打破歷年的參與紀錄！

今年的主題演講（Keynote）主要在回顧國內外 Python 社群的發展里程，國外講者邀請到資深 Python 開發者，現任 EuroPython 大會主席、PSF 基金會 Fellow、 PyDDF  (Python meeting in Düsseldorf) 共同創辦人Marc-Andre Lemburg，來分享過去二十年Python社群耕耘成果。Marc-Andre Lemburg於 1994 年便開始了 Python 的開發工作，作為 Python 核心開發人員，他設計並實做了 Python 對 Unicode 的支援，並且貢獻了許多 CPython 核心相關的開發；同時，他也是多個知名開源專案的作者。來自香港的 Yenny Cheung 則從使用者體驗與開發角度，利用最新的 NLP 工具和基礎設施來建構 AI 助理。

主題演講另一焦點—致力於 Python 社群推廣的魏澤人老師，則將與會眾分享他在台灣推廣 Python 的心路歷程。魏澤人是陽明交大 AI 學院副教授，也是交大青年講座、木刻思首席數學家、Google Developer Expert(Machine Learning), AWS Educate Cloud Ambassador，花蓮.py 及 Google Developer Groups Hualien 的發起者，曾在東華大學應數系服務，也參與選訓數學奧林匹亞國手。

Python年會（PyCon TW）將於 10 月 2、3 日舉行，自8月起即開始數場會前暖身活動，包含8月14日針對中學生舉辦的Young Inspirers分享會、9 月 26 日針對 Python 社群舉辦的 Sprints 衝刺開發工作坊等。同時為了歡慶Python年會10週年，今年亦首次推出「 PySafe 贈品包」，也就是針對防疫需求量身定做的紀念品包，除了 PyCon TW 限量紀念酒杯、限定版T恤與貼紙贈品外，還加上精心製作的酒精噴瓶等防疫小物，錯過可惜，歡迎手刀上網購票，數量有限，售完即止： https://lihi1.cc/XDhkt
